Pepe's Piri Piri Cambridge

Welcome to Pepe's Piri Piri Cambridge, a vibrant fast-food haven situated at 182 East Rd, Cambridge CB1 1BG. This bustling eatery specializes in flavorful Piri Piri chicken, showcasing a blend of tantalizing spices and fresh ingredients. As a food reviewer, I had the opportunity to explore what makes this brand stand out among its competitors.

Pepe’s Piri Piri Cambridge focuses on a delectable grilled collection, with offerings designed to please both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The menu features:

  • Chick 'N' Rice Meal: This dish combines Pepe’s spicy rice with succulent marinated chicken breast. At just £12.29, it's a perfect choice for a satisfying lunch or dinner!
  • Chicken XL Meal: Grilled to perfection and served in a soft floured bap with regular fries, this meal is a steal at £10.79.
  • Vegetarian Options: For those seeking meat-free choices, the Paneer Rice Meal and Paneer Burrito provide robust flavours, with the Paneer Rice priced at £12.29.

One of the unique aspects of dining at Pepe’s is their focus on generous portions, perfect for anyone in need of a hearty meal. Customers have noted that the meals are well-cooked and served hot. Despite some mixed reviews regarding quantity and service, my experience revealed that the food is primarily prepared with care, providing a comfort-food experience that rivals fast-food staples like KFC and McDonald's.

The diverse selection doesn’t stop with grilled chicken; Pepe’s Platters cater to larger groups or those with a hearty appetite. You can choose from:

  • 18x Wings for £19.49 or
  • Mega Platter, which includes 2 whole chickens and multiple sides for £43.49.

In addition, don’t miss out on their zingy dips and sauces, including the highly recommended Piri Piri Mayo Dip and an array of bottled sauces to satisfy every palate. Whether you prefer mild or extra hot, Pepe's has got you covered.

Overall, Pepe's Piri Piri Cambridge is an excellent option for anyone looking to savor a rich and flavorful fast-food experience. While the atmosphere is casual and fast-paced, it’s clear that this spot prioritizes delivering a tasty, satisfying meal above all. Whether you opt for a classic like the Chicken Nuggets Meal at £7.39 or indulge in a platter for sharing, you’re in for a treat that will leave you wanting more!

Overall a decent little place for a fast food restaurant. Customer service was pretty friendly. Food is nice and seems to be cooked well. Everything comes out steaming hot. The Chicken was tasty. They give you good sized portions. Rather come here than KFC or McDonald's! Is it the best ever food you will have no but it's nice for what it is, a nice quick fast food treat if you fancy some chicken ...I enjoyed my chicken and rice!! And actually feel satisfied after eating at a fast food place .Will be back :)

Extremely stingy with the amount of chicken they put in the chicken rice. Stingy with the amount of rice they put. Stingy as a whole and poor service. I got tiny pieces of chicken in my rice box. If they were charging lower than average pepes prices it would be fine still but theyre more expensive, yet far lower quantity and quality.Ordered half chicken once. Was a tiny portion with barely any meat. It was all fat and skin. Didnt even look like a chicken. I recommend you avoid this pepes in particular and get it from elsewhere.I am a very, very frequent customer of this pepes. And now, I will not be ordering again. This is when i realised in London how I couldnt finish even one chicken rice box. Yet, could barely feel full with just one in Cambridge. The ones in London are far cheaper too.Scamming customers for a few extra pennies wont get you far

I visited Pepe this afternoon with my partner and, unfortunately, found hair in the rice served to us. This is not the first time this has happened; we experienced the same issue a few months ago and brought it to the attention of the manager at the time.Despite sharing our concerns previously, it seems no meaningful steps have been taken to address the kitchen’s hygiene standards. While the manager offered to replace the dish, this approach only addresses the symptom, not the root cause of the problem.I believe the kitchen’s hygiene practices need urgent improvement to prevent these kinds of incidents in the future. It’s disappointing because we otherwise enjoy the ambiance and food here, but hygiene is non-negotiable when it comes to dining out.I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the restaurant invests in better hygiene standards moving forward.

I've tried Pepe's at various locations and several times at this branch. The staff is consistently rude, but this time the food quality was also disappointing. The chicken was extremely dry, and when I requested extra sauce, one staff member agreed, but another refused to add more sauce to the chicken. Pathetic customer service and foods literally below average.
